James Truslow Adams in 1931 made his own definition of American Dream: "life should be better and richer and fuller for everyone, with opportunity for each according to ability or achievement" regardless of social class or circumstances of birth.
The American Dream is basically the idea that if you go to America you can be anything you want and working hard you could get a good house, a family and a lot of money. However this idea is realistic because it doesn't always happen, normally is hard to get a decent job and manage to maintain it to earn enough money to buy a good house.
